Samsung’s has launched worls's first smartphone with a curved display. Samsung has surprised everyone by announcing the device in its hometown, Korea.
In terms of the design, the device looks like a Galaxy Note 3, here are the key features of Galaxy Round :-
- 7.9mm thick and weighs 154g
- 5.7-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display.
- 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor
- 3GB of RAM
- 13MP rear camera & 2MP front camera
- 2800 mAh battery
- Price :- $1000 ( approx. Rs. 60,000)
On the software front Samsung has included some additional apps to work on Curve Display :-
- Roll Effect: Enables users to check information such as date, time, missed call and battery by slightly 'rolling' the phone over towards one side when the home screen is off.
- Gravity Effect: Creates visual interaction with the screen by tilting the device.
- Bounce UX: Enables users to control their music.Galaxy Round's display is off while the music player is running, a short press to the left of the device will play the previous track while a short press to the right will play the next track.
- Side Mirror: Enables users to gain access to list of the album content with a left and right tilt.
This phone,is available through South Korea's biggest mobile carrier SK Telecom, costs 1.089 million won ($1,000). There is no word on release elsewhere.
