HTC has launched a mid-range Android smartphone ‘E1’ in the Chinese market. The smartphone, which carries the model number 603e will soon go on sale in the country with a price-tag of 1,799 yuan ( Rs. 15714 approx. ).
HTC E features Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, HTC Sense 4+, 4.3-inch WVGA Super LCD 2 display, and 1.2GHz dual-core processor. The smartphone also comes with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, dual-SIM connectivity, 5MP rear camera and 2.1MP front camera.
Among other features, HTC E packs 2100 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi, DLNA, NFC and HDMI.
There is no word if the phone will be released in markets outside the country, but given the fact the HTC is yet to be announced any other models apart from HTC One this year, we would expect to see the phone to cater to the mid-range segment in other countries too.
