With the duty increase announced in the latest budget, mobile phone manufacturers have started increasing prices of the devices. Samsung was first to increase the prices of its handsets and now LG and Micromax has also announced price-increase of its select smartphones.

Micromax, which was until selling (or not because of the lack of stock) A116 Canvad HD for INR 13,990, has now taken the price up to INR 14,499. Company revealed regarding the same on Facebook.

On the other hand, LG has increased the price of recently announced Optimus G smartphone. The phone was selling at just INR 30,999 after the launch, but now the price has gone up to INR 32,990 (it is still less than the INR 34,500 MRP from the company).
