As you may have read, CyanogenMod’s camera app, Focal, was recently removed
after the company was incorporated. Focal lead developer Guillaume Lesniak (Xplodwild)
is believed to have left due to differences between himself and the newly formed
company. Lesniak was left with just a few options on what to do with his creation.
The app has already found a new home late on Saturday night. The camera app made its
way to the Google Play Store and with it comes the “beta” name; therefore, users can
expect the occasional hiccup here and there.
Focal is a full featured camera app that brings suchs tools as automatic picture
enhancement (auto-awesome). Depending on your device, you might also get color
adjustments, HDR, and manual light measure points. There is even a quick shot mode,
allowing you tap anywhere on the screen to take a picture just like the Moto X.
