Taiwanese manufacturer Asus today revealed that their 7' FonePad tablet will be launched in India tomorrow. The first Asus Android tablet to run an Intel processor was unveiled back in February at the Mobile World Congress in Spain.
Asus India have been lying low as far as the smartphone and tablet segment is concerned, and this launch is expected to give a big boost to their sales. Notably, Xolo have been the only other company to launch Intel-powered smartphones in the country and the Xolo X1000 managed to rack up pretty impressive scores in the benchmarks. Although there has been no word in the pricing, anything above Rs. 17,000 may back fire as the other contender in this price bracket, the Google Nexus 7 is currently retailing around Rs 15,999 in the Google PlayStore.
