According to a report by SF Examiner, George Gascón, the district attorney of San Francisco was recently told by Apple’s government liaison Michael Foulkes that next two iterations of iPhones “preceded Tim Cook”, indicating that two of the future iPhones were designed under Steve Jobs, the former CEO of the company who passed away in 2011.

Ever since Jobs’ death, Apple’s future product roadmap has been a matter of concern among Apple fanboys. This is probably the first indication about how far ahead Jobs worked on future products.

The tid-bit was revealed when Gascón spoke to Apple’s government officer Foulkes over working on a technology to reduce the increasing cases of the mobile phone theft, that he was informed about future phones by the Cupertino giant. According to the report, these phones have been crafted as per Jobs’ designs and have already been developed.

Also, knowing that iPhone 4S was the last iPhone to be launched under Steve and that Foulkes has not mention any phone name in particular, it is speculated that this could be an indication to the next two models of the iPhone.
