Lava Iris 501 was originally launched in January, having Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box. The company today announced that the Iris 501 the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean os update.
The update is available now to users now , but you have to go to the service centers to get the device upgraded to the latest OS. To remind of you, here are the specifications of the Iris 501 :-

Along with getting an OS upgrade, the Iris 501 which was launched for Rs 9,999 also gets a price cut of Rs 2,000 and is now available on online retail stores for Rs 7,999.
