Sony's flagship device Xperia Z has racked in some impressive sales figure if the recent report is to be believed. According to analysts, the Japanese manufacturer has sold a staggering 4.6 million units of its device in just 40 days.
It seems what contributed to Xperia Z's impressive feat according to gsminsider is the fact that it was announced as early as the first week of 2013 ahead of its rivals like HTC One, LG Optimus G Pro and Samsung Galaxy S4. Coupled with impressive features which included a 5-inch 1080p display, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, and water and dust-resistant properties, made the device a formidable player.
Originally showcased at CES 2012, Xperia Z houses a 13.1- megapixel rear camera with a 2.2-megapixel front camera, 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage with an option to expand it further to 32 GB via a microSD card.
Available in white, purple and black colour options, the device is retailing for Rs 38,990 in India. While eventually, the Sony Xperia Z is bound to get stiff competition from rival high-end models, at least for now it can enjoy its glory.
