The HTC One, the Taiwanese flagship smartphone was launched back in March with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board, and it looks like the company might soon roll out the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for the smartphone as well.
The HTC One could soon be powered by Android 4.2.2.

The HTC One currently is powered by Android 4.1.2, but according to an insider, the phone is just weeks away from getting updated to Android 4.2.2. Considering that Android 4.2.2 has been rolling out to various devices since February, it is not such a surprise that owners of the device want the later Android build on their phone. Since the Samsung Galaxy S4 was released with Android 4.2.2 pre-installed out of the box, HTC One owners must be wondering why they could not get the same software under the hood when the model was launched.

According to a tweet from an HTC Developer, the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for the HTC One smartphone could be rolled out as soon as two or three weeks from now. However, there is no official word on the potential software update, so take it with a pinch of salt.

The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for HTC One is expected to bring some new features to the smartphone that include lock screen widgets, stock gesture enhanced keyboard, quick settings option and many more such features.
