WeChat devlopers has launched WeChat app for Nokia Asha devices. The app is available for free from the Nokia Store.
WeChat for those who aren’t familiar is an instant messaging app which functions similar to WhatsApp and has already been available on Android, iOS, Windows and BlackBerry devices. One can add people to their chat list through their contact list or via a WeChat ID. Besides individual and group chats, WeChat also offers a ‘Hold-to-Talk’ feature, which allows users to send voice messages using the mobile’s data connection.
WeChat is currently compatible with Nokia Asha 303, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309, 310 and the 311.
