Today announced on their Facebook page that they are the 9th Greenest Brand in the world. Interbrand reported that Nokia with a Gap Score of +18.50 was the placed no 9 in the world's greenest brands.
Nokia is in phase of Financial crises but “being green” remains a core business driver for the Nokia brand. The company has made impressive results from its decade-long “Eco Innovation” efforts reads the report. All the parts of every Nokia Phone are recyclable and every model has 'Eco' profile stating 'Eco Hero' indicating to its all greenest products.
Report also says"Nokia also claims to have set up the world’s biggest voluntary recycling network—with 5,000 collection points in 100 countries—and aims to lead the mobile industry in both the removal of harmful compounds from handsets and the introduction of biomaterials. By using renewable energy and reducing waste, Nokia has reduced its manufacturing impact. Employees at all levels are recognizing that these tiny details can mean big savings—and a healthier planet. "
Other tech brands included: Dell and Sony at 11th, HP at 12th, Samsung at 16th, Intel at 21st, Apple at 22nd, Canon at 30th positions respectively.
