Sony To Launch Xperia ZU in a Press Event On July 4

Sony’s rumored Xperia ZU or Xperia Z Ultra is expected to be launched at the company’s press event in France on July 4. Sony has teased an image of what looks like the Xperia ZU phablet in its invite for the event.

As per a report, here are the rumored specs of Xperia ZU :-

• 6.5mm thin ; weigh 212g
• 6.44-inch 1080p Triluminos display
• Android 4.2 Jelly Bean 
• Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 2.2GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 330 graphics
• 2GB of RAM
• 16GB of internal storage and expandable memory using microSD.
• 8-megapixel camera and the front 2.2-megapixel camera

The Xperia ZU is also expected to come with a inbuit stylus in it. The invite shows some handwritten text along with a pen which further hints at stylus support.

As far as the design and looks are concerned, it is highly inspired by the Xperia Z smartphone and tablet design language. It looks extremely thin, neat and sharp, and features the Sony’s iconic power key accompanied by a volume rocker and a camera key in the bottom.

The Xperia ZU is also rumored to be water and dust resistant like its sibling Xperia Z and Xperia ZR
