
Motorola today announced the much awaited Moto X, is the first phone that has been entirely developed under the supervision of Google. Moto X is fully assembled in the USA. Google has played clever by making a mid-range smartphone rather than going
high-end.
Rather than concentrating on specifications, Motorola says tha it is looking at enhancing user-friendly experiences likes, a battery that lasts all day, a camera that clicks great photos and a user experience that does not require users to touch the phone to get information.
Here are the key features of Moto X :-
- Dimensions are 129.3 x 65.3 x 10.4 mm. Mobile has curved back hence thickness varies from 5.6 mm to 10.4 mm.
- On the front it has 4.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of resolution 720 x 1280 pixels which makes pixel density 312 ppi.
- 16 GB/32 GB internal memory, 2 GB RAM. Sadly no microSD card support.
- Connectivity options includes GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, HSUPA, LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, microUSB v2.0, A-GPS.
- On the back it has 10 MP autofocus camera with LED flash which can shoot 1080p videos @ 30 fps and on the front it has 2 MP camera.
- Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS (Motorola is now Google company though Android 4.2.2?)
- Runs on dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked @ 1.7 GHz.
- Adreno 320 GPU
- Moto X has Li-ion 2200 mAh battery

Customize your Moto X with more than 2,000 customization options where user can choose the back panels, they will also be able to get their phone engraved with a message or name. This is limited to the US for the moment and it remains to be seen whether Motorola extends it to other markets as well.
Availability :- Currently 5 largest USA carriers AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon and US Cellular offering it. $199 for the 16 GB and $250 for the 32 GB on 2 year contract. It will be available in the US starting in late August. Canada and Latin America will also get it. No word on India launch yet.
