Sony’s Xperia i1 “Honami” Shows Itself in Purple Hue; Confirms September 4th Unveil

A new Sony “Honami” leak has been unveiled by the Chinese website CNBeta, that shows it will be purple at least on the sides (the back may not be), and it also confirms what has been rumored for a while, that the Honami will be officially announced at the IFA event or in during that period. The September 4th date also coincides with the date set for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The Sony Xperia Honami is rumored to sport a 5-inch Full HD Triluminos display with the X-reality engine. The smartphone is said to feature a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone's key selling points is its 20.7 megapixel camera with Sony G-lens and BIONZ image processor. User memory is 16GB and can be expanded via the microSD card slot.

Now we are also shown a photo of what is supposedly an official advertisement for the Honami unveiling. Quite intriguing is the fact that the very thin profile of what is presumably the Honami is purple. Could this mean that the Honami will come in purple?
