Samsung has previously introduced various buyback programs in India to lure its customers to Samsung Android Galaxy phones. Samsung has had two successful buyback programs back this year itself first one being during the launch of Galaxy S4 and second one being post S4 the Note 2 buyback offer.
The new Stay New scheme offered by Samsung includes the Buyback of old device or EMI options on the purchase of new Samsung Smartphone or Tablet which includes Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy Tab 3, Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Samsung has partnered with Banks like HDFC, Standard charted, ICICI, Citibank through its credit cards the customers can buy phones on 18 month EMI scheme depending on the device you buy. Like Galaxy S4 bought under this scheme through credit cards of these banks one has to pay Rs. 2,466 per month and on S4 mini Rs 1,500 per month.
Under buyback scheme Ingram Micro will buy your old device so if you purchase a new device under this scheme you have to sell your old device within 6-12 months on the price decided by Ingram Micro. (this personally does not sound a good deal).
