But now, it’s newest flagship phone, the Xperia Z1 which has an impressive specifications sheet with a 5-inch screen has a little brother! Sony took the internals of its powerful flagship phone and put it in a smaller, 4.3-inch body. The device is currently named Sony Xperia Z1 Compact.
The specs of the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact feel like a very big deal for such a small sized smartphone. Its powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and with a 2,300mAh battery. The Xperia Z1 Compact has a 20MP rear camera same as the Xperia Z1. The screen on the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is a less than the Xperia Z1, with 720p resolution, but the IPS LCD display. The Xperia Z1 Compact is water proof like the Xperia Z1. Most of the specifications of the Xperia Z1 Compact are same as the Xperia Z1.
Sony has promised the Xperia Z1 Compact will cost less than the Xperia Z1. This means the consumers can get the best aspects of Sony’s flagship phone without paying huge amount of money for it. No official price or release date has been announced yet, though an international release of the smartphone is planned for next month.
