Broken Age :
Programmed to be released this
January in two main acts, Broken Age is a point-and-click adventure game that
tells the story of two young kids who lead parallel lives. Started under the
name Double Fine Adventure, Broken Age has become one of the most awaited games
of the year and it certainly deserves your attention.
Revolution 60 :
Ready to be released in March,
Revolution 60 is a powerful adventure RPG that tells a story from a 3D
animation point of view. Although we don’t know much about the game, we do know
that one of the voices belongs to the famous Amanda Winn-Lee. The main character
is an assassin for Chessboard known as Holiday, whose task is to discover the
reason behind the malfunctioning of an American orbital platform. You’re
calling the shots so whatever decisions you’re taking be sure they’ll help you
complete the mission.
Road Not Taken :
Enough with the
adventure-action games for the iPhone. It’s time to pay more attention to some
other categories too, like puzzlers for example. The Road Not Taken is all
about life and loss, and although progress is being made we still don’t have an
official release date. Developed by Spry Fox, the game has you wondering
through a vast scary forest – be careful, a brutal winter storm is coming!
Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse :
The Serpent’s Curse is the 5th
version of the adventure video game, and it promises to be the greatest of them
all. Thus far we only have the 1st episode that was released in
December, and we’re eagerly waiting for the 2nd episode to come up
this January. Broken Sword is played from a 3rd person perspective,
and it follows the adventures of two protagonists, Nicole Collard and George
Stobbart. The main gameplay of the video game explores traits such as
manipulation and knowledge combinations meant for the players must draw logical
conclusions in order to advance in the game.
Warhammer 40k: Storm of Vengeance :
The real-time strategy game is
set in Warhammer, in a gothic, dark universe. Storm of Vengeance tells the
great story of two main characters – Ork Warlord Ghazghkull Thraka and Grand
Master Belial – who will be in charge of defending the planet with their 100
dark angel marines. Will they succeed? Well, it remains to be seen as Storm of
Vengeance will be released in the first quarter of 2014.
Modern Combat 5 :
The 5th version of
the game looks more than promising, and that’s because MediaTek and Gameloft
are teaming up to optimize the game and provide it with a semi-conductor’s
octa-core smartphone chip. What does that mean in simpler terms? That gamers
will benefit from better graphics, high-definition focus, and attention to
detail, particularly as far as shadowing, water distortion, and reflections are
concerned.
Now that we’ve presented some
of the best games waiting to be released this 2014, it’s time for you to make
your pick. Will the animated Revolution 60 live up to your expectations, or
