Are
you an iOS addict willing to devote tens of hours to an intensive, thorough,
and demanding gaming session? How many games you currently play on your idevice?
Well, regardless of that amount, we’re sure we can squeeze in several more.
Some names may not appeal to you that much while some others have already
become classic games everyone has played at least once on their iPhones or
iPads. Let’s check them out.
1 1) Knightmare Tower
Like
Doodle jump? Then you'll love this; it’s like doodle jump got mixed up with
some crazy fantasy themes and then decided the best way to make things better
was with more jumping, higher than before. You're a knight ascending a castle by
jumping, but you jump off your enemies who are ascending from below. Genius!
Like the one guy who programmed that super Mario mode to make the bullets fly
backwards, a simple elegant alteration of a tried and tested gameplay mechanic
makes what could have been a stale copy a new and interesting prospect.
2 2) 868 HACK
A
slick cyberpunk styled game about planning and executing the perfect hack with
a beautifully designed graphical system. It’s certainly an addictive and
challenging game. One of those games that you will never beat but you'll die
trying to master it. Are you ready for the craziest challenge?
3 3) Plants vs. Zombies
You
defend your home from zombies by planting mutant plants capable of harnessing
the sun's solar energy and utilizing it to prepare and fire organic projectiles
at the slowly moving zombie horde. A devilishly funny cartoon animated game
which will have smiles on your face on the surface but beneath beats a cold
stone heart of logic and strategy. You will learn how to manage your sunflower
resources and expertly arrange the perfect defense. Before long, you'll dream
of sunflowers and zombies, but the bad thing will be when you realize you like
dreaming about them. This game starts off light-hearted but gets sophisticated
the longer you play it.
4 4) Rayman Jungle Run
Rayman
is a legend in his own right. When other games went 3D, Rayman was one of the
old school boys who went: “hell no, why do I want a third dimension?” If only people
had told the man behind Jaws 3 and James Cameron the same thing!
Still,
Rayman is funny, light-hearted and genuinely likeable in every incarnation.
Jungle Run manages to package that lunacy in a new game about running through
the jungle. It's a little bit simple but then again it is an Android game and
we haven't quite made it there yet people. I can think of no one who wouldn’t
like to play this.
5 5) Ocean Horn
This
is a Zelda game in all but name; a fantasy RPG set in a pseudo medieval environment
with a princess, sailing pots and bombs etc. It's a good Role playing game-fun
and if you've ever wanted to play a Zelda game but can't afford the latest
gismo from Nintendo's mad lab then this is a good alternative. Essentially an
unofficial version of Windwaker, this has the same obvious copy charm of
several other games but keeps a good standard of gameplay to boot.
If
you have the need for speed or if you want to get the “drive it like you stole
it” itch out of your system before you get back behind the wheel on your way
home. Then the 5 killer iPhone and iPad games we just mentioned should exceed
your expectations. Some of the hands down entertaining, others are just meant
to ruin your life.
