HTC has just taken the wraps off its 2014 flagship, the HTC One (M8). This smartphone has been leaked in such great detail over the past few weeks that we probably need not inform you what hardware specifications it has, but we’ll do so anyway. The 2014 HTC One features a full metal unibody construction, a 5-inch SLCD3 1080p display, dual front-facing stereo speakers, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, HTC’s brand-new Duo Camera system on the back, a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SOC, either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage expandable via microSD and a 2600mAh battery with quick charging support. In terms of software, the 2014 One runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Sense 6 on top, which brings numerous user interface improvements such as cleaner iconography. A Google Play Edition of the 2014 HTC One (M8) will also be made available in the coming weeks.
HTC is launching the HTC One M8 with a bunch of accessories as well, the most interesting perhaps is the dot view case. The cover has a fun dot matrix display that will give you updates on whats happening on your device like alarms, calendar notifications, messages, emails and missed calls. The funky colorful display will also show the weather information battery status and time.
