Sony Xpeira Z1, Z1 Compact & Z Ultra get Android 4.4 KitKat Update, Xperia Z and others in Toe to get in Q2

Sony announced on their twitter today, that the Android 4.4 KitKat update is now rolling out to the Sony Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact and Z Ultra.

The Android 4.4 update brings updated Sony apps, such as Walkman, Album and Movies, along with a refreshed UI that is similar to what is present on the Sony Xperia Z2. All that along with standard features from KitKat like the built-in cloud printing support, immersive mode, etc. According to their blog post:

We’re not seeing the update on our Xperia Z Ultra or Z1 compact, but Sony has stated that rollout timing depends on market and carrier. Hopefully everyone around the globe will get it by the end of the month.

The Sony Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Tablet Z will be getting the Android 4.4 from mid-Q2, while the Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia E1 and Xperia M2 have been added to the list of devices to get the KitKat update.
