Google has announced a one day Explorer program.
To discover new places, sometimes we need to leave the map behind. And that's what Glass Explorers do. They are the first to make, to tinker, to create, to shape, and to share through Glass. We're expanding little by little, and experimenting with different ways of bringing new Explorers into the program. Google termed the Glass buyers as Explorers.
Google Glass will cost you $1,500 with Limited Functionality and it is believed that UK developers may have access to it as early as May and Britain will be the first, outside US to get it.
The high price will be likely to deter many enthusiasts, who may be forced to wait for price reductions.
Google sold the device to 8,000 individuals back in 2013 as part of their Explorer programme. Google will now give more people the opportunity to test the Glasses, as it is closer to an official release.
Google Glass will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis after an initial online sign-up process.
