Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 is finally here and it’s got some pretty impressive features to boast about. Helping it carve a niche for itself in the smartphone market is the Ativ S, a device that perfectly combines Samsung’s robust hardware with the functionality of the new operating system. 1. Body: Samsung has given the Ativ S its characteristic large though slim and curved body. The phone is sleek and light, making it easy to carry around and use despite its large screen. It sports dimensions of 137x71x8.7mm and weighs in at 135g.

8. Battery: A 2,300 mAh battery powers the Ativ S. The battery, which is exactly the same as the one found on the hugely popular Galaxy S3, and is one of the best in the business, offers the handset hours of multi-tasking usage on a single charge.
9. Samsung Hub: The Ativ S is loaded with a number of features that are unique to Samsung devices and that add on an additional layer of the tech giant’s functionality. With ChatOn, Samsung Hub, Samsung Zone, Photo Editor and Now, the device has an edge over its rivals.
10. Build Quality: Samsung seems to have learnt its lesson from all the criticism it received for the build quality of its Android handsets. The Ativ S has a premium feel with its plastic back, brushed metal finish and its aluminum chassis and side buttons.
