The company has said that Google Glass will feature a high resolution display "equivalent to a 25-inch high definition screen from eight feet away." For connectivity, the gadget will have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but no mobile data. The device also integrates a 5MP camera that can capture 720p videos.
Google Glass will also have 16GB flash memory, in which 12GB is user-accessible; it will be synced with Google cloud storage. Buyers will be able to transfer data from Glass and charge it via micro-USB. The company claims that this device will deliver battery life of one day, though actual life may vary as some features, like Hangouts and video recording, are more battery intensive.
Google Glass will transmit audio to users via bone conduction transducer and will be compatible with any Bluetooth-capable phone. This gadget will come with MyGlass app, downloadable from Google Play marketplace. The app runs on devices with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or later versions of the company's mobile operating system and enables GPS and SMS messaging.
The product was unveiled at Google I/O in June last year and will soon start shipping to Explorers, people selected by the company to test it before its official launch.
