Samsung has announced the Galaxy Tab 3 in its 10.1 and 8-inch tablets at Computex.

- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
- 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels
- 3-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera
- Available in 32GB and 16GB variants, and expandable further via the microSD card slot
- 1 GB of RAM
- 6,800 mAh battery
- 7.95 mm and weighs 510 grams.

- Intel Atom Dual-core 1.5GHz Processor
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
- 8-inches display with 1280×800 pixel resolution
- 5-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front camera
- 1.5GB of RAM and a microSD card slot supporting expansion by a further 64GB.
- 7.4mm and weighs 314 grams
- 4,450 mAh battery
Both the tablets will be offered in Wi-Fi only, and 3G and LTE (dependent on markets) enabled versions. Both the tablets will be available globally by the beginning of June.
The presence of Intel’s chip in Samsung’s tablet is perhaps the bigger story out here. While the tablets on their own don’t really stand out in terms of specs, it seems like Intel is making headway in the mobile market with its new Atom chips.
