We have heard several times about Nokia making a Android smartphone, But know a recent report from The Verge states that Nokia is working on a smartphone code-named " Normandy ". Normandy will be Nokia’s entry-level Android phone running a forked version (like Amazon) of Android.
Back n November @evleaks had leaked the photo of the Normandy, which has now been confirmed by BGR India. The Verge, reports that Normandy supports Android applications like Skype, and other popular apps. Nokia has been developing the Android-powered phone despite Microsoft’s plans to acquire the company’s handset business. It is still unclear whether Nokia will release the handset before the Microsoft deal is finalized, or whether Microsoft will continue with the plans for the device.
The Normandy would fill in the gap between low cost Asha mobiles and Lumia Devices. BGR India also states that the announcement of this smartphone will be at the Mobile World Congress 2014.
