The t-JAYS Four is the fourth segment in the t-JAYS series which comes with a few more upgrades to the<a href="http://www.mobiledoctors.co/2013/12/t-jays-three-earphones-review.html" target="_blank"> <span style="color: blue;">t-JAYS Three</span></a> which we reviewed months back. This is the top-end model in the t-JAYS line-up, benefiting from the 
three-button handsfree kit and remote control seen in the other "Four" Jays earphones.<br />

 The packaging done by JAYS for this earphone is the same as the t-JAYS Three. We do not have any complaints regarding the packaging. Good job JAYS.<br />

Those familiar with the Four’s predecessor will find many similar design
 traits on this latest iteration, with a few added touch points. Like 
all of Jays’ models, the Four is all black, layered in soft matte 
plastic. Flat plates designed to hold the headset firmly in the ear 
extend from the back of the plastic buds, accented with chrome panels on
 the exterior that bring a touch of flash to the design. The removable 
silicone tips at the opposing side of the earbuds surround the Four’s 
relatively large 10 mm dynamic drivers.<br />
<br />
 The Jays handsfree housing is as light as a feather. It's a three-button
 jobbie designed for use with iOS devices. A pinhole mic sits on the 
back to let you take calls, and the buttons offer full playback control 
over your music. The side buttons alter volume while the central button 
takes on multiple music duties - one tap for play/pause, two to skip to 
the next track and three to head back a track.<br />

<b>Audio Performance:</b><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: 'times new roman', serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Trying
 out some treble heavy songs they deal with it like I like a good 
dynamic to.  A hint of splash with just the faintest edge.  Then it 
enters that shimmery slow decay and if things get busy they smear into a
 wonderfully shimmery cacophony.  It’s very pleasing and despite pumping
 out a lot of treble remains gentle on the ear.  That’s the sort of 
thing I very much like.  If you like you’re treble more bighting and 
aggressive then it’s not likely to be one for you.  Quantity wise it’s 
very much in line with the mids. </span></span><br />

 a pretty big and open dynamic.  So much so I thought on first use I 
didn’t have a seal.  They are very open for an IEM so you don’t get a 
lot of isolation.  In itself that’s not a bad thing it’s a choice.  One 
that does get you that great big dynamic sound and is arguably rather 
safer if your note always the best at looking about for traffic.  These I
 could probably live with for out and about but for a long flight or 
Tube commute, not a chance.  Still with music going probably enough to 
get you run over if you aren’t looking.</span></span></span></span><br />

Although it's mentioned its only for iPhone and iPod, it will work with other phones like Android and Windows, but the volume controls work only with iOS devices. The mic and play/pause button works with Android and Windows. This earphone is prices at $130, which is a tad bit expensive for such a earphone. But the features provided with these earphones<b> </b>are exceptional.<br />

The t Jays three comes in a very good packaging. You get the earphones, a case, 4 different sized earbuds, a flight adapter and a stereo splitter. It's good that Jays has included a case, no other manufacturer would have done that.<br />

 the overall design is simple—the only real flourish is the etched logo 
on each earpiece. The earpiece's angled contour incorporates a vented 
bass port, helping to provide some of the booming low frequency 
response, but also to stabilize the earpiece, as it presses gently 
against the outer ear. Earpieces can be worn either straight, with the 
cable pointing down, or upside down, for added stability, with the cable
 looping over and behind the upper ridge of the ear.</span><b> </b>There is no microphone or button controls.<b> </b>Another interesting design feature is the cabling. Rather than provide a single long cable, the t-Jays have a 60cm length by default, and are bundled with a 70cm extension cable should more be required. We did prefer the quirky, but tangle-resistant cabling of the a-Jays Three earphones to that of the t-Jays, though not enough that we'd make the step down in audio quality.<br />

nice amount of focus on the high-mids, allowing a nice treble edge to

The vocals in sings are crisp and clear and you'll enjoy listening to music for hours. These earphones are best optimised for rock songs.</span><br />

The phone boasts of decent hardware specifications and promises to offer all the features of a modern phablet at an economy price point. Is it good enough to take on the likes of Samsung's phablets? We try to find out in our review.</span></div>

When you first look at the Xolo Q2000, you realise it's a big black slab with a utilitarian design, not evoking any emotions. The phone's front features its massive 5.5-inch IPS display, the three capacitive touch buttons for navigating around the phone's interface placed below it, and the sensor array and the front-camera lens, placed above it. Enclosed in a plastic frame, the bottom edges out, creating a small chin-like extension.<br />

The Q2000 is rectangular with corners that are not rounded, giving it a sharp look.<br />

<span class="mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-image" style="display: inline; outline: none;"></span>The left edge of the Xolo Q2000 features the Power/ Screen lock key, while the left edge houses the volume rocker. Both the keys are made of plastic and offer decent tactile feedback. The top edge sports the Micro-USB port and the 3.5mm headset jack. The edges feature a sturdy frame which appears to be made from polycarbonate, bearing a glossy finish.<br />

The back of the Xolo Q2000 features a thin plastic cover that hides the battery compartment holding a 2600mAh battery, apart from the SIM card and microSD card slots.  The cover sports a matte finish, and felt very flimsy in contrast to the otherwise sturdy-build of the phone. A rectangular strip, made from the same material that we've seen on the edges protrudes out, right at the top, featuring the rear camera lens.<br />

The Xolo Q2000 features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a 720x1280 pixel resolution and pixel density of 267ppi. The panel supports 5-point multi-touch.<br />

The viewing angles of the Xolo Q2000's display looked good, and the brightness of the phone was optimum. Outdoor visibility was above average though the screen was a bit reflective. While the display sports a decent resolution, at times it looked pixelated, probably due to the bigger screen size resulting in less number of pixels per inch.<br />

A number of times, the onscreen keyboard failed to register key-strokes. This issue makes using the phone frustrating. We're not sure if it was limited to our review unit.<br />

<b style="outline: none;">Camera</b><br />
The Xolo Q2000 features an 13-megapixel autofocus shooter that takes great images in daylight. Even in low-light conditions, apart from some noise, we felt that the rear shooter does a nice job of capturing stills.<br />

We were also satisfied with the quality of pictures taken by the Xolo Q2000 indoors, though we did find them to be a little grainy occasionally.<br />

It also offers EIS or Electronic Image Stabilisation to minimise distortions caused by shaking of hands while shooting a video. Unfortunately, the camera saves videos in the archaic .3GP file format.<br />

The 2-megapixel front facing camera on the Xolo Q2000 also takes decent quality shots with good lighting conditions and is great for video calls. Overall, the phone is pretty good for casual photography.<br />

The Xolo Q2000 comes with a customised Camera app, and allows you to capture photos in HDR, 'face beauty' mode, Panorama modes, 'auto-scene detection', and 'best shot' modes in addition to an EV bracket mode for taking multiple exposure photos.<br />

The phone's camera also supports continuous shots taking up to 40 shots in that mode, smile detection and face detection. Some of the options in the camera app's interface are not self-descriptive which makes it a little unintuitive for new smartphone users.<br />

<b style="outline: none;">Software/ User Interface</b><br />
The Xolo Q2000 runs Android 4.2.1, and the company has not customised the user interface much, except for offering four preloaded themes, namely Mint, Mocha, Raspberry and the default theme that bring minor changes in the phone's colour scheme.<br />

The notification tray on the Xolo Q2000 features a settings shortcut and a clear-all notifications button, along with expandable notifications (expanded with the two-finger pull gesture). It features the same setting toggles shortcut that's found in stock Android and adds some of its own as well, for quick access to airplane mode, battery status, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, data connection, data usage, audio profiles, brightness, screen-backlight timeout and auto rotation.<br />

The three capacitive buttons, Menu, Home and Back, help in navigating through the phone, with the Home button also doubling up as an app switcher on long press. One major gripe with these buttons is that they don't light-up in the dark even when the screen is on until you press one of them.<br />

You also get lock-screen widgets  on the Xolo Q2000 - an Android 4.2 feature. You can choose from the Clock, Camera, Gmail, Google Now and Messaging widgets in addition to widgets offered by third-party apps installed on your phone. These widgets offer 'glance-able' information from the apps and allow users to perform certain app actions even when the phone is locked.<br />

The phone also offers another Android 4.2 feature, Daydream, that displays photo albums or the clock while the phone's charging. The option to wirelessly mirror the phone's display with an HDMI-enabled device through a wireless display adapter is also present.<br />

The speaker on the Xolo Q2000 delivers decent quality sound at high volume levels, but there's some muffle when the phone lies on its back, as the speaker grill is located on the back. The headphones that come with the phone offer average quality sound output. The phone also offers FM Radio.<br />

Call quality of the Xolo Q2000 was good during our testing process, and phone was also able to get a GPS lock rather easily while using the Maps app.<br />

The Xolo Q2000 comes with a 2600mAh battery, and based on our experience, it will last you a full day with medium to heavy usage, including 1-1.5 hours of phone calls, two e-mail accounts with push notifications, screen at maximum brightness, playing some music and video clips, Twitter notifications and WhatsApp chats.<br />

It's also worth pointing out that we had turned off Wi-Fi and auto-brightness, and the phone was hooked to a 3G network. Altering these settings might help in running the phone for a longer duration, depending on your usage pattern.<br />

At a price of Rs. 14,999, the Xolo Q2000 is a good budget phablet that delivers decent performance, without burning a hole in your pocket. However, the display, which is one of the major factors for choosing a large screen device, could have been better in terms of resolution, and definitely in terms of overall touch sensitivity.<br />

Upon opening the box, the v-JAYS headphones were folded up and they have small, square shaped speakers. They have a thin layer of foam cushion and very lightweight. Although the design was a bit strange at first, after wearing the headphones for several hours, they really started to grow on me. I loved being able to fold them up, unfold them and wear them for extended sessions with any pain or discomfort. They truly are wonderful in design as well. I started to get some what exciting and then I threw on some music....</div>

The headphone is made of plastic, but it doesn't feel cheap. The plastic used is of premium quality. Overall, the build quality of this headphone is great.</div>

I don't say this often but WOW, I was blown away immediately by the bass coming from this headphone. The sound quality was mind blowing. Every voice was crisp and clear, be it a song or a movie.Upon playing Modern Combat 4, the gunshots were loud and clear. The explosions rocked. I literally kept taking off the v-JAYS to make sure that this amazing sound was coming from these small, square speakers. </div>

After a bit of confusion on design, weight and style, all my fears were put aside after trying out the v-JAYS. I can say comfortably that I absolutely love them. They are definitely one of my favorite pair of headphones ever. If you want amazing sound quality in a small, lightweight design, these are the cans for you! The box says: "Powerful, Dynamic and Lightweight" -- I don't think I could have said it better myself. <b><br /></b><br />

 small black box with monochrome images is very nice indeed. It's 
simple, slick, and effective. After removing the sleeve, a small folding
 style box. One side contains the headphones and the other includes an 
extension cord and other accessories. The overall design of the 
packaging is fantastic and very nice to store away or even carry on 
travel. Props to the folks at Jays for a wonderful design in such a
