Till date, here maps were only available in the Nokia Lumia 2520 with Windows RT and smartphones running Windows 8. But now, Nokia will roll out its here maps for to all devices running Windows 8.1 including Windows RT & 8.1 PCs, laptops and tablets.
The new here maps will include touchscreen features as well as support for mouse and keyboard for users those who use PCs and laptops. High-resolution satellite imagery allowing the user clear high zooming levels. Here maps update will enable users to load online maps four times faster as compared to the available here maps. However, the loading of offline maps depends on the system's speed. Apart from all these, many new features will be added to the updated app.
The app will be free to download from the Windows Store after Nokia starts rolling out here maps in North America and Europe at first, followed by other regions.
