Recently Nokia announced series of smartphones that run a modified version of Android which includes <a href="http://www.mobiledoctors.co/2014/02/nokia-x-nokia-x-and-nokia-xl-android.html" target="_blank">Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL</a>. In this modified version of android, Nokia has replaced key API's and services which also includes Google's Maps and applications marketplace with its own apps and Microsoft's services. A froum member on XDA developers has posted a tutrial to root Nokia X, so it runs Google launcher, Play Store and other Google apps including Gmail and maps.<br />

Nokia has already mentioned that the phone will be able to run around 75% Android apps without any modifications. Only if apps uses Google services for push notifications, maps or in-app payments Developers only need to make some minor changes.<br />
<br />
It's worth pointing out that rooting the phone will void its warranty. Also Google's own suite of apps are not open source, so technically, it's not legal. <br />
Nokia released this X series to fill the gap between the asha series and the low cost windows phone devices.</div>

travel zooms and compact cameras. The Canon G1 X Mark II is an upgrade of the older advanced 
point and shoot, the Canon Powershot G1 X, but there have been some 
significant design changes. It features a 12.8MP 1.5-inch 
high-sensitivity CMOS sensor combined with a DIGIC 6 image processor. It
 boasts of an ISO range from 100 to 12800.
